Surrender To The Shaking

.

Lately, I have been seeing so many posts on social media and having conversations that all have common tone to all of them.

*Distraction

*Betrayal

*Hope deffered

*Sick hearts

*doubt

*comparison

*Mental, emotional, spiritual exhaustion

*Fear and anxiety

Just a few of the fiery darts being thrown by the enemy.

This morning I woke up to a heaviness from the hurt in my past, tormented with memories. Woke up to fear and panic.

After laying there saying “Jesus help me” over and over, playing worship and reading Psalms, I was reminded of when Jesus told Peter that Satan wanted to “sift him like wheat”.

Luke 22:31-32

“31And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. 32 But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, that you may strengthen your brethren.”

This is that which we are sensing in our spirits. Not all struggles are meant to be prayed away, albeit we spend much out our time praying to that end, but seasons in the spirit, much like the natural, need be journeyed to produce the fruit that others may be fed. Satan sifts, but God shakes. He says in Hebrews 12:27, 7 Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain.” When God “shakes” us, it is so that old fruit, rotten fruit, those things within us that are impeding our spiritual growth and effectiveness can be removed.

To everything there is a season. Seeds down in fertile ground WILL produce fruit.

Phillippians 1:6

He who has begun a good work is faithful to complete it!
